The photos are part of the description. I have taken close ups of all condition issues. The collar inside needs to be stitched up about 24 inches. Very small tear in sleeve and loose gold embroidery on the lower back. Could use a cleaning but in beautiful vintage condition. This is a hand woven vintage Japanese Wedding Kimono purchased at an estate. The wedding Kimonos were used for traditional wedding ceremonies for hundreds, if not thousands of years, and are still used in modern traditional weddings.
This wedding kimono portrays many embroidered phoenix. The phoenix, or (Ho-o), is a legendary bird that rises from the ashes after burning in fire, representing eternal rebirth and the cycle of life. It is also believed to appear in places of peace, prosperity, and happiness, and is a symbol of good fortune.
