1950s ...gorgeous rich mahogany brown genuine Tegu lizard skin handbag. The classic Kelly styled bag is made of beautiful rich center-cut skin on each side with a structured skin covered frame and a skin handle.
The beautiful skin is set off by a cross-cut gold tone front bar and gold tone clasp.
Opens to reveal an interior faux leather lining One side has a metal zippered sidewall pocket and two open slip pockets.
Circa 1950’s. Unsigned.
The bag measures 8 inches wide x 8 1/2 inches high with a 2 1/4 inch deep base. The handle has a 5 inch hang.
Condition is excellent. The skin is impeccable with no tears, rips, soiling, lifting or other signs of use or wear but There are 2 imperfections shown in last 2 photos. Double leather Handle has some broken stitching otherwise in great condition. The Tegu lizard skin hide is of the finest quality. The faux leather interior is in beautiful almost like new condition.
