The Babolat Pure Strike 97 Gen4 Carbon Grey Tennis Racquet x 2 is the successor to the Pure Strike VS. The frame keeps the same Control Frame Technology as the in-line Strike models, but this version is geared toward greater precision. The racquet has a slimmer 21-22-21 millimeter cross-section, a smaller 97 square inch head, and a 10.9-ounce unstrung weight. The 97 has a 16x20 string pattern, which is reminiscent of the old Pure Control and Pure Storm models. Expect more flex in the shaft of the 97, especially when compared to the Aero and Drive models. This model is designed with all court players in mind, so the head-light balance and fast swingweight make it one of the most maneuverable racquets in its weight class. Babolat extended the head guard further down the racquet for greater protection against wear and tear. This model features NF² Tech, which incorporates flax fibers in the head to filter vibrations and create an ideal impact sound.
