Original Vintage “Irene” 1940 Musical Linen-Backed Movie Poster Ray Milland

While a number of renowned film classics of the era have uninteresting, poorly designed film posters, some of the lesser known films have the most beautiful & creative artwork for their movie posters. Such is the case here. This vintage, original poster for 1940 film “Irene” has some of the most gorgeous & richly designed artwork of any poster created during this era. Starring Ray Milland, Anna Neagle, & Billie Burke (Glinda the Good Witch in “The Wizard of Oz” the prior year). Shot in black & white with exception of Technicolor sequence at society ball when his jaw drops as he sees coming downstairs. They dance to instrumental version of "Alice Blue Gown”. 1-Sheet (27" X 41") size film poster was in good-very good condition before restoration & linen-backing. Restoration addressed tiny paper loss at crossfolds, tiny bits of paper loss on parts of folds. It had pinholes around edges. Small area of poster in bottom border area has come loose but easily remedied. Displays very well!!
