Dragon lovers rejoice! Framed wax brass rubbing of dragon from the Marguerite de Scornay monument of 1462 in Belgium.
The rubbing of brass memorials has long held a fascination for historically minded people and lately the decorative possibilities of these art works has increased value and popularity.
This was created by covering the brass with a thin paper of high quality and rubbing with special waxes.
Very detailed, perfectly preserved, was professionally framed. They don’t come nicer than this! Approx 12” x 16” double mat in gold frame of good condition. Note small spot on mat or inner glass, barely noticeable. Ready to hang.
